The Best Homemade Granola

I have been wanting to make some homemade granola for months now. I'm glad I finally got around to making some! This recipe is so simple and quick, it's embarrassing it took me this long to try it. My plan is to make a batch each week to have on hand to use as toppings onto yogurt or with fruit.


  • 2 Tablespoons of honey

  • 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats

  • 2 Tablespoons sliced or chopped almonds

  • 1/4 cup of dried fruit ( I used prunes)

  • 1/2 Tablespoon of flax seeds


  • Oven proof Dish

  • Spatula

  • Medium Mixing Bowl

  • Measuring Cup

  • Measuring Spoons


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. In medium bowl, mix honey, coconut oil, and cinnamon together.

  3. Add oats and almonds to the bowl. Stir well until everything is coated with the honey mixture.

  4. Spread mixture evenly into oven proof dish.

  5. Bake until lightly browned, around 10-15 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes to cook evenly.

  6. Remove from oven, let cool completely.

  7. Stir in dried fruit and flax seeds.

  8. Store in air tight container either in room temperature or in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
