Green Tea with Mint

It's a rainy day here so naturally I gravitated to tea. It's not cold, though, so I was torn between hot or ice. I decided to go with ice, but this tea could easily be enjoyed hot. Great way to add green tea to your day, while keeping you fresh and cool with the mint. Optional - add ginger tea or ginger slices for a bite. This recipe makes about 6-8 servings.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of water

  • 3 green tea bags

  • 1 tablespoon of mint flavored simple syrup

  • honey for taste

  • handful of mint leaves

  • optional - 1/4 cup ginger tea or few slices of ginger cut

Materials

  • Pot

  • Strainer

  • Measuring spoons

  • Knife - if cutting ginger

Directions

  1. Bring water to boil.

  2. Turn off heat. Add green tea and ginger to water and let sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Strain tea.

  4. Mix in simple syrup and honey depending on how sweet you like it.

  5. Let cool, add mint leaves.

  6. Enjoy!
