One of my favorite afternoon snacks that are quick and refreshing are smoothies. What easier way to get a boost of nutrients and energy? My smoothies don't change drastically, but each one some how ends up coming out differently. This one had a strong banana base with just the right amount of blueberries to make a beautiful purple color. Below you will find the recipe for it. This makes enough for one. If you would like this to be a cold drink, use frozen ingredients. For a creamier smoothie, use them fresh. Enjoy!
2 bananas (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Handful of kale (use any type of leafy greens here)
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup almond milk
Throw everything into your blender and blend away!
