An Easy Authentic Tiramisu Recipe To Try

I was first introduced to Tiramisu by my first Italian boyfriend (in Kindergarten) and have been in love with this dessert ever since! This recipe, although not from his family, is a close source to the authentic Italian dessert. It is amazingly simple, and dangerously good (try not licking your fingers while making this, I dare you). Below is the recipe along with a video to walk you through the steps. Let me know if you give it a try and what you think!






  • 8 ounces of mascarpone

  • 2 large eggs, separated

  • 2 Tbsp of sugar

  • 1 package of ladyfinger cookies

  • 4 Tbsp of kaluha

  • 1/2 cup of strong coffee (espresso), cold



  1. Mix cold coffee with 1/2 of the Kaluah (2 Tbsp).

  2. Mix the sugar and egg yolks until light in color.

  3. Mix in the mascarpone, add the remaining Kaluah (2 Tbsp), mix until well combined.

  4. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, fold into mascarpone & egg mix.

  5. Line a pan with one layer of ladyfingers, drizzle with coffee mix until well soaked, the spread with mascarpone mix.

  6. Repeat, ending with mascarpone mix.

  7. Sprinkle with chocolate powder or chocolate sprinkles if desired.

  8. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
