Yeast Dough Made From Scratch

Let's be honest, 9/10 times, homemade is better than store bought. That being said, buying it from the store can save us time and effort that we don't have at the end of a busy day. However, if you find yourself with a little extra time (maybe on the weekend), I would highly suggest you give this a try. It would be perfect to make a quiche with, which I will share a recipe for one tomorrow so stay tuned!


  • 200g of flour (roughly 2 cups)

  • ¼ tsp of salt

  • ½ pack of yeast

  • 1/2 cup of milk, add 2 tbsp of it to the yeast

  • 3 Tbsp. of butter


  1. Add 2 tbsp of milk to yeast, then add to flour.

  2. Add the remainder of milk to the butter and mix well.

  3. Add that to the flour, as well until you have formed a soft dough. Don’t let it rise.

  4. Roll it out immediately and place in a baking pan.

  5. Place holes in it with a fork to avoid air bubbles.
