Pumpkin Spice Latte

Call me basic, but I like pumpkin spice lattes! It doesn't quite feel like Fall until it's cool enough for boots and warm lattes. That being said, I was wanting a "healthier" version of my favorite pumpkin spice latte and am happy to say I found one that I could make at home! You can make this vegan, but you might need to add a little extra sweetness. Or, blend in a teaspoon of coconut oil to give it extra creaminess. If using regular milk, I think you will find it sweet enough as is, but of course adjust to your liking. :)




  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1 vanilla bean 

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of nutmeg

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 1 cup of strong coffee




  1. On medium-low heat, add the pumpkin puree, spices, sugar, and milk. Bring it to a gentle simmer. Whisk well. 

  2. Blend to break up the vanilla bean and to make it frothy. 

  3. Add the coffee, whisk well. 

  4. Pour into your favorite mug and top with some more cinnamon. 

  5. Enjoy!


Optional: if you have pumpkin spice, feel free to use it instead of cinnamon and nutmeg.
