Saturday is St. Patrick's day and what better way to celebrate pretending to be Irish than with Sangria! :) Technically I'm half Irish (on my dad's side) which means you can trust me when I say that Sangria is definitely an Irish favorite. Ok, maybe that's a lie, but for me, Sangria screams weekends and brunch and those make me happy so here I am sharing you this fun "green" Sangria with you!
Are you celebrating this weekend for St. Patrick's day? How many of you are Irish? I would love to know in the comments below!
1 bottle white wine - I used pinot grigio
1 cup ginger ale
1 cup lime spritzer
1/2 green apple, sliced
1/2 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1/2 lime, sliced
a handful of mint leaves
Optional - 1 tbsp of mint simple syrup - I used Sonoma (link for it at end of post)
Grab a large pitcher to add all the ingredients in.
Slice the apple, peeled kiwi, and lime. Add to pitcher.
Add the mint leaves.
Pour the whole bottle of wine into a pitcher.
Add the ginger ale and lime spritzer.
Mix well and place in the fridge to chill until ready to serve.
If you need more sweetness, add the mint simple syrup.
