St. Patrick's Day Sangria

Saturday is St. Patrick's day and what better way to celebrate pretending to be Irish than with Sangria! :) Technically I'm half Irish (on my dad's side) which means you can trust me when I say that Sangria is definitely an Irish favorite. Ok, maybe that's a lie, but for me, Sangria screams weekends and brunch and those make me happy so here I am sharing you this fun "green" Sangria with you!

Are you celebrating this weekend for St. Patrick's day? How many of you are Irish? I would love to know in the comments below!

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine - I used pinot grigio

  • 1 cup ginger ale

  • 1 cup lime spritzer

  • 1/2 green apple, sliced

  • 1/2 kiwi, peeled and sliced

  • 1/2 lime, sliced

  • a handful of mint leaves

  • Optional - 1 tbsp of mint simple syrup - I used Sonoma (link for it at end of post)

Directions

  1. Grab a large pitcher to add all the ingredients in.

  2. Slice the apple, peeled kiwi, and lime. Add to pitcher.

  3. Add the mint leaves.

  4. Pour the whole bottle of wine into a pitcher.

  5. Add the ginger ale and lime spritzer.

  6. Mix well and place in the fridge to chill until ready to serve.

  7. If you need more sweetness, add the mint simple syrup.

  8. Enjoy!
